My Approach
My approach centers on three things: style, comfort, and light. Style sets the tone before the first frame is made. Comfort allows people to be present instead of performing for the camera. Light gives the image its shape, mood, and energy. After years of working around video production and lighting, I’m always looking for the right balance between what exists naturally and what can be shaped with intention.
What I Do
Across events, weddings, portraits, process documentation, products, interiors, and creative projects, I’m usually drawn to the same thing: human intention. The hands at work. The charge in a room. The small imperfect gestures that make an image feel alive. Whether I’m photographing a corporate event, a candlelit wedding, a fabrication process, or a portrait session, I’m looking for the details that reveal what the moment means.
Beyond the Lens
When I’m not photographing, I’m usually chasing some other form of creative work: filmmaking, DJing, home projects, or anything that keeps my mind engaged and my hands busy. I spend as much time as I can in the woods and wild edges of the Pacific Northwest, or at home with my wife and our cats, paying attention to the small, fleeting things that make life feel full.
Let’s Work Together
I try to move through my work with a simple idea in mind: be grateful, be generous, and keep generating meaningful work. If you’re looking for someone to capture your story with intention and style, let’s connect.
